last five years because they give you a relatively tiny amount of cash (usually as much as £500) for a short term, around 2 weeks
(or until ‘payday’). The providers charge a charge for the loan often expressed as a set fee per £100 borrowed - frequently
around £25.
Payday advances are actually a rapidly growing industry in the uk, with four times as many folks utilizing the loans
last year compared to 2006. Last year, - 2 million people took out £4. 1 million in loans, with total lending amounting to
£1. 2 billion (1).

In the UK, payday loan borrowers take out an average of 3. 5 loans annually and the common size of an online payday loan in '09
was approximately £294 (1). There are no restrictions on the rates of interest cash advance companies may charge, but they
are needed legally to convey the effective apr (APR).
Recently the marketplace for pay day loans has growth rapidly, particularly with online financial institutions. Research by the
Office for Fair Trading (OFT) suggests the demand for payday advances could rise steeply later on (2). Utilising the figures
from this research, IRN Research predicts the number of borrowers could potentially rise by 40-45 per cent
in the coming years (3).

The U500 is an ultraportable. You need an ULV CPU to get the Ultrabook spec, plus the battery will be less on the 35/45/55W quad parts. Press release says Ultrabook on the UX21A but ultraportable on the U500.

Hopefully there will be bigger differences between Ultrabook and non-Ultrabook chips in the future.
