This Panasonic convertible is available in Japan and offers some of the best we've seen in terms of specs, weight, size and features. This is an 11.6" Full SSD convertible in 1.1KG! Vpro models available. Sensor pack included. Unfortunately the screen is only 1366x768 but on an 11.6" screen, that's acceptable for most.

Alternatives to the Panasonic AX
|Alternatives to the Panasonic AX|
|Asus Transformer Book Flip 13, 13.0", 1750gm||Datasheet|
|Dell XPS 12 Convertible, 12.5", 1520gm|
From a design perspective the XPS Duo 12 is certainly a stylish alternative to a slider or dockable tablet but we are concerned about the weight of the device in tablet mode. Pricing is also quite high but that may not deter those looking for a stylish option. 47Wh battery is not the largest in this weight category.
|HP Pavilion 11 X2 (h112nr), 11.0", 1580gm||Datasheet|
|Lenovo Yoga 2 11, 11.6", 1388gm|
A Baytrail-powered (Pentium branded) Yoga that comes at a launch price of $529 could appeal to those looking for an Ultrabook-style 2-in-1 but not needing the high-end features and price.
|MSI S20 Slidebook (Slidebook S20 0M-048US), 11.6", 1170gm|
MSI is working on second generation Ultrabook which features a touchscreen and convertible functionality. The S20 is a convertible Ultrabook which uses a sliding design, much like the Asus Eee Pad Slider and long forgotten (and never sold) Samsung Slider 7. The MSI S20 is equipped with Windows 8 which Microsoft has retooled for touch input with the Metro interface (pictured above). The S20 is exciting because it will be one of the first touchscreen convertible Ultrabooks with both Ivy Bridge and Windows 8 — a combination that could actually represent a good touchscreen computing experience in the world of mainstream PCs for the first time.
|Lenovo Thinkpad Twist, 12.5", 1569gm||Datasheet|
|Lenovo Ideapad Yoga 11S, 11.6", 1400gm|
This is the new Lenovo Yoga 11S, the latest addition to the Yoga family of Lenovo. It comes with an Intel Ivy Bridge processor (up to core i7) and with up to 256GB SSD storage. There are two options for Memory: 4 and 8 GB. The fully tiltable screen to the back of the keyboard converts this notebook into a fully fledged tablet. With Windows 8 this Notebook features a complete Windows experience as most of us now it.
|ASUS Taichi 21 ( DH71), 11.6", 1224gm|
The ASUS Taichi 21 is an extremely well-built Ultrabook convertible that, at 1,25KG can be used for some short-term tablet scenarios. Battery life is relatively short (about 3.5hrs) but the package is extremely mobile and flexible. Excellent speaker quality.
|HP EliteBook Revolve, 11.6", 1360gm|
The HP EliteBook Revolve is a Convertible Ultrabook with some specials under the hood. It comes with a 11.6" touch-enabled, Gorilla Glass display with a resolution of 1366x768. Even though it is a Gorilla Glass screen it has a matt display with a brightness of 400 candela. RAM is upgradeable to 12GB and CPU-wise one can choose from an Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 Ivy Bridge processor. With its weight of only 1.3Kg and its 4G option it is a perfect device for mobile computing.
|Dell Inspiron 11 3000, 11.6", 1392gm|
This Inspiron 11 3000 is a convertible laptop that uses a fold-back screen hinge to provide stand and tablet modes. The 11 3000 runs on Baytrail CPUs with hard drive options (no SSD) and a basic 1366x768 screen. The product will compete with the Lenovo Yoga 2 11 and pricing appears to be similar.
