ASUS NX500, 15.6", 2400gm
We’ve never seen an Ultrabook with these specs before. The Asus NX500 Ultrabook was announced yesterday and it proves how far Ultrabook specification can be pushed. The NX500 is targeted squarely at creators and gamers and is one of the most impressive-looking Ultrabooks we’ve ever seen. No, this is not ultra-light, unless you want these specifications in a Windows laptop, and then it is!
ASUS VivoBook S400, 14.1", 1995gm
As one of the cheapest touch-enabled Ultrabooks, the Vivobook S400 should get a large audience although a deeper dive on the specs reveals a few points of note. The weight is mainstream rather than class-leading and the spinning hybrid drive won't bring you the speeds you see on SSD-based devices.
ASUS VivoBook V551, 15.6", 2400gm
The ASUS VivoBook V551 is a 15.6" Ultrabook based on Intel's new Haswell platform. It's processor is a Core i7 with 1.8Ghz. 8GB of RAM together with a NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M make up a good performance for gaming. We are curious to see how long it's 3-cell 65W 4500mAh battery combined with Haswell's powermanagement will keep this thing up and running. The 15.6" display comes at a rather underwhelming 1366x768 resolution.
|Fujitsu LifeBook U904, 14.0", 1389gm||Datasheet|
Asus S500CA, 15.6", 2100gm
Available with Core i5 and Core i7. Model number S500CA-CJ005H used for the specifications above.
Dell Inspiron 15z, 15.6", 2160gm
The Dell Inspiron 15z is a 15.6" Ultrabook which comes with a weight of 2.16kg and several different configurations ranging from core i3 to i7 CPU, 4-8GB of RAM, 500GB HDD + 32GB mSATA SSD or 128-256GB SSD. There is also a version with NVIDIA Geforce GT630M 2GB GPU. This model however comes with an Intel HD 4000.
HP Spectre XT TouchSmart Ultrabook, 15.6", 2164gm
This is the new HP Spectre XT TouchSmart Ultrabook 15t-4000. It is a touch-enabled Ultrabook featuring a powerful dual-core Intel Core i7-3517U with 1.9GHz with turboboost up to 3GHz and 4 Threats. The 15" IPS Display comes with a Full HD resolution (1920x1080). On the hardware side there is not much to choose from HP, however one can choose from 4 different Storage configurations (500GB HDD 7200 or 5400 RPM, 128GB SSD or 256GB SSD). With Windows 8 installed this could offer some nice touch-experience.
HP Envy TouchSmart 14, 14.0", 2010gm
The HP TouchSmart 14 is an Ultrabook based on Intel's Haswell platform. What makes this stand above the crowd is it's impressive 3200x1800 pixels display. At 14" this will be the highest pixel density there is right now. There will be options for a 1366x768 or 1600x900 pixel display.

Fujitsu Lifebook UH90, 14.0", 1387gm
The UH90′s centerpiece of course is its screen, with its heady resolution of 3200 x 1800 providing a pixel density of 262ppi but Fujitsu also has another trick up their sleeves by managing to squeeze the 14″ IGZO touchscreen display into a chassis that is about the same as for a 13″ model. Fujitsu also adds what it calls “Super Glide Coating” to the display for a better touch experience with Windows 8. Along with the display enhancements the UH90 also has a 1.6GHz Core i5-4200U Haswell processor with Intel HD 4400 graphics and a 500Gb hybrid drive with solid state cache, and with a thickness of only 15.5mm Fujitsu claims this is the thinnest Ultrabook available.
