The Lenovo Twist is a great Ultrabook convertible. Keyboard, ports, screen and Wi-Fi are all good quality and the twist screen is one of the easiest single-unit convertible designs to work with. There’s an offer at Amazon today for our US readers. $780 buys you a Core i5 version with 500GB HDD. Don’t forget that you can pop out that HDD and drop in a 7mm SSD without having to take the back off. I did it when I reviewed the Lenovo Twist recently. It flew! (Note, I’m testing a MyDigitalDIscount BP4 Slim SSD right now. It’s looking good)
Business and pleasure mixed into a fun and inspirational package. The touch-swivel Windows 8 Lenovois a solid performer with an excellent working fascia for many scenarios. It’s not a consumer tablet though and there are one or two characteristics to be aware of but at a starting price of $899 for a Core i5 variant (959 Euro, 899 Euro street price) we think it offers solid value for money.

It’s been a busy, but enjoyable weekend with the Lenovo. It fits right into the way I use laptops, the way I like to interact with laptops and the quality I like to see. Is it what YOU want from an laptop though. This Ultrabook Convertible has a great working fascia, extensive set of ports and one of the more popular convertible designs – the rotating screen that not only turns the Twist into a lappable tablet (it’s not a handheld) it also offers some other use cases.

Rising up the charts at Ultrabooknews is the LenovoS230u. Targeted at business users it’s a smart and strong looking convertible touch Ultrabook but the current $746 offer could see it landing in a large number of consumer hands too.
With the ThinkPad Twist and IdeaPad Yoga, Lenovo now has Ultrabook convertible options for its business and consumer laptop segments. The , with starting price of $799, is actually one of the cheapest Ultrabook convertibles on the market. Surprisingly the consumer-positioned IdeaPad Yoga 13 is actually more expensive, starting at $999 — though it does come with a better display. The is now available while the IdeaPad Yoga 13 is still a few weeks off.
The Lenovo Twist / Edge S320U / N3C27 has surfaced. It’s a convertible Ultrabook with 12.5” 1366×768 IPS rotating screen, hybrid hard drive, 48.8Wh battery and a weight of 1.57KG / 3.46lb. Pricing starts at $899 in the USA, around the same in UK pounds and early indications point to about 1050 in Euros.
